The disciplined sport of dressage strives to achieve an elegant and seemingly effortless conversation between horse and rider. This conversation is tested through athletic and choreographed movements. The discipline requires a focus on straightness, 'through-ness' and impulsion. A rider's ability to communicate with their horse improves with practice as they progress through each of the levels. The goal is to create a harmonious, balanced, and centered horse and rider relationship, which is why dressage training is beneficial for all equestrians and their beloved horses.

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE RELATIONSHIP
Exalt & Salute offers Dressage training and instruction, with a specialization in bio-mechanics for both horse and rider. The goal of learning and applying bio-mechanical riding is to obtain optimal movement in the discipline in which you desire to ride or compete. Whether you're a Dressage rider who wants your horse to move as elegantly as possible; a hunter/jumper who wants your horse to move easily around the show ring; or a barrel racer who would like to have the fastest and most flexible horse ... every discipline of riding will benefit. Biomechanics-focused training enables us to pinpoint any issues that you and your horse may be experiencing, which in turn allows you to make corrections faster and more effectively. As a result, riding becomes more enjoyable, your horse remains sound, and test scores will improve. What's not to like about that?!
THE MONET FACTOR
I will share with you, and impart, my divinely-inspired understanding and wisdom of bio-mechanics for the benefit of both, you and your horse. It is here, with my special sauce, that enables me to help you combine these two essential riding skills in beautiful collaboration and harmony.
INDEPENDENT BALANCE
As riders, we need to understand that when we sit on our horses, we alter the horse's natural center of balance. While we might not realize it, when we ride we often try to find our balance using either the reins or the stirrups (or both which is even worse). If we struggle to create and maintain our own balance in the saddle, how could we possibly help our horse achieve their balance?
RIDING THE BRIDGE
The Bridge is the area on the horse that connects the hips to the shoulders -- it is actually one of the weakest parts of the horse's anatomy and it happens to be exactly where we sit! The only way to strengthen and develop the Bridge is to ride the shoulders and hips. This method of riding will allow you to truly develop your horse's fullest potential, carrying and balancing your weight while simultaneously performing the movements you're asking for.
Combining these two skill sets, I have developed an integrative and holistic approach to riding bio-mechanically correct. This, in turn, helps create and maintain a stronger and healthier horse and rider.
